LOMPOC P.D. DUI CHECKPOINT RESULTS
NETS 9 Arrests
LOMPOC- JANUARY 18th, 2009
The Lompoc Police Department conducted a DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint on Saturday January 16, 2010 as part of Lompoc’s commitment to public safety. This checkpoint was one of many that have been or will be conducted throughout the year in Lompoc. The location of the checkpoint was in the 1200block of north “V” Street for north and south bound traffic. The goal of the DUI Checkpoint was removing impaired drivers and to bring awareness to the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
The following charges/arrests were made during the checkpoint:
Driving without a drivers license 5
Driving on a suspended license 4
Drivers evaluated for D.U.I 8 Drivers were drinking but under the limit of .08
Driver evaluated for narcotic use 1
Vehicles towed for a 30-day hold 9
Vehicles passing thru the checkpoint 350
Miscellaneous traffic stops 4
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1-1!
